Community involvement - volunteer time to help community needs
Life Skill Projects - develop self-esteem and lifetime interests
County & State 4-H Project Judging - develop communication & interview skills while competing for awards
State & National 4-H Trips - educational and develops leadership skills
State 4-H workshops - develop skills to plan and lead groups
School Enrichment Programs - helps teacher develop the "whole child," not just teach subject matter
Cloverbuds allows 5 - 8 year old children to become involved with 4-H on a non-competitive basis

*We offer over 200 different projects
*Our 4-H Clubs are spread throughout the county and we can help you find one in your area
Ohio 4-H Age Guidelines
Eligibility for 4-H membership begins when a child has reached age 5 (Cloverbuds) and is enrolled in Kindergarten as of January 1st of the current year: Membership to the 4-H Club program begins when a child is at least age 8 and enrolled in third grade as of January 1st of the current year. Ohio 4-H membership ends December 31st of the year in which an individual attains the age of 19.
The official 4-H motto is: "To Make the Best Better."

The official 4-H pledge is as follows:
"I pledge My Head to clearer thinking, My Heart to greater loyalty, My Hands to larger service and My Health to better living, for My Club, My Community, My Country and My World.'
