Agriculture
Erie County is located in north central Ohio. Contiguous counties are Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Huron, and Lorain. According to the 2005 Ohio Agr. Statistics, the county has 390 farms with an average size of 233 acres. Total land in farms is 91,000 acres. Major crops include corn, soybeans and hay.
